Vision and Strategy

AusVan’s mission is to increase shareholder wealth through the development of vanadium mineral deposits into profitable mining operations.

AusVan is focused on the following current short to medium term objectives:


  • Match the vanadium resource with vanadium enabled technology such as batteries
  • Complete a PEA and PFS with confident economic parameters.
  • Undertake comprehensive metallurgical test programs to identify definitive processing scenarios.
  • Ongoing drilling to improve and increase the Resource at the Allaru Vanadium Project, including the generation of updated JORC and NI43-101 Mineral Resource estimates.
  • Develop key investor and strategic customer relationships to enable the project to be delivered on time and on budget

Board & Management

Chris Huggins 

Mr. Huggins holds a B.Sc., Honours Geology from the University of British Columbia (1997) and worked as a geologist for 5 years across Northwestern British Columbia in regional gold exploration for Homestake Mining (Barrick). Following 10 years in sales leadership with e-learning technology, internet and advertising firms, Mr. Huggins returned to the mining industry and for the past 10 years has been a Corporate Accounts Manager, Sales Manager, and Business Development Manager with Atlas Copco Mining and Rock Excavation Technique (Epiroc), Hexagon Mining, and Finning Canada. 

Justin Corinella

Justin Corinella has a broad background in public markets and corporate financing. His focus is on early-stage venture companies with potential for large growth, scalability and value creation. Mr. Corinella was the Head of Technology for Squire Mining Ltd., listed on the CSE, and as part of the executive team, he participated in raising $28M CAD in financing and developed strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in North America, Europe and Asia. Mr. Corinella is the inventor and Co-founder of DahrwinLLC, founded in 2012, a wireless technology company based out of New York and raised venture funding, spearheaded software & hardware development and received five issued patents. His endeavors have positioned him as a lead in multiple R&D and Engineering departments working on various US military and government-based technologies. 

James Gleeson

James has over 15 years experience within the mining, infrastructure and transport sectors spanning project approvals, greenfield exploration activities, business development and operations management. 

He was previously a Director of Vecco Group, Founder and Managing Director of FuelCorp, a bulk fuel and transport company (sold in 2018) and Managing Director of Gleeson Consulting upstream consulting services to energy and resources companies across Queensland, New South Wales & ACT. 

Thomas Northcott – Non-Executive Director 

CEO of AusVan’s predecessor group, Vecco Group for 7 years, worked in Vanadium resource development and Vanadium flow batteries. 

Thomas is a lawyer with experience in the practical delivery of mining, energy and infrastructure projects throughout Australia. His expertise includes board and senior management positions in operational mining as well as exploration companies 

He has taken a lead role in small and large resource companies and large government infrastructure projects. His experience includes corporate governance, project acquisitions and financing, mine planning and development (including rail, port, water and power), environmental approvals and compliance. 

Luke Robinson – Non-Executive Director 

Luke is a financial advisor working in an Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team for ASX listed Sequoia Financial Group. Luke is also a director of Dart Mining, an ASX listed gold and base metal explorer located in Victoria, Australia.
